Charlotte Hornets Tickets

The Charlotte Hornets are an American professional basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. The team was originally known as the Bobcats and joined the NBA in 2004 as the league's 30th franchise. The team's owner was Robert L. Johnson, an American media mogul who became the first African American majority owner of a franchise in one of the four major team sports leagues in the United States. In 2010, Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan acquired a controlling interest in the team and became the majority owner. The Hornets' first logo was a teal and purple anthropomorphic hornet wearing white shoes and gloves dribbling an orange basketball. The team's current logo features a teal and purple forward-facing hornet with the words 'Charlotte Hornets' on its torso. The team plays its home games at the Spectrum Center in Uptown Charlotte.
